A Visit to Enid Oklahoma

DSC_7228_HDR-resized750A great friend of mine, Jay Hollopeter and Robert Hoggard at Art Lab, created a Vintage Bike Show in Enid Oklahoma. It's about an hour and a half drive from my place. Jay invited me on Facebook so I thought it would be a great road trip and maybe a chance for some cool photos. I had a great time hanging with some old friends that I had not seen in a while. Took some photos of some really cool looking bikes. Three of which were Jay's own creations. I also was finally able to see Jay's art studio "Art Lab". Really excited that Jay and Robert are doing what they love. It's a great little studio.

While I was there they told me there was going to be a bicycle race later that day. I was excited because I had not ever been that close to a bike race nor have I ever been able to photograph them. So I was excited to be able to be there for this.

The Criterium is a bicycle race on a closed course where United States Cycling Association licensed riders compete for cash prizes. The courses are about .08 miles long with riders reaching 30-35 miles per hour. The races are very exciting and usually draw a great, young at heart and excited crowd. Here is a link to the main Tour de Trykes web site.
